Correct installation of oil tank
Summer is the peak of power consumption. In order to reasonably distribute and utilize power, most of them will adopt the policy of switching off and limiting power. However, for production enterprises, it undoubtedly affects the work and production efficiency. Therefore, most enterprises will purchase various generator sets as standby power supply, such as diesel generator set, Cummins generator set, Chongqing Cummins generator set, Dongfeng Cummins generator set Korean Daewoo generator set and other brands can be selected. As a generator set for power generation, the most needed fuel is diesel. When installing a diesel generator set, you need to pay attention to the installation of oil tank.
The diesel generator set should be installed and connected before use. The installation site should be well ventilated. There should be sufficient air inlet at the generator end and good air outlet at the diesel generator end. What should be paid attention to for the installation of oil tank?
1) The storage position of the oil tank must be safe to prevent fire. The oil tank or oil barrel should be placed separately in a visible place, properly away from the diesel generator set, and smoking is strictly prohibited;
2) After the oil tank is placed, the maximum oil level shall not be 2.5m higher than the base of the diesel generator set. If the oil level of the large oil depot is higher than 2.5m, a daily oil tank shall be added between the large oil depot and the diesel generator set so that the pressure of direct oil delivery is not greater than 2.5m. Even during the shutdown of the diesel generator set, the fuel is not allowed to flow into the diesel engine through the oil inlet pipe or injection pipe by gravity;
3) The oil supply pipe end of the oil tank shall be about 50mm higher than the bottom of the oil tank of the diesel generator set to prevent sediment and water from being sucked into the oil supply pipe;
4) The resistance at the oil port is not allowed to exceed the specified value when using clean filter element specified on the performance data sheet of all diesel generator sets. This resistance value is based on half of the fuel in the fuel tank;
5) The oil supply and return areas of the oil tank shall be equipped with perforated diaphragms to reduce the heat exchange of the diesel generator set;
6) The connection of fuel oil return pipeline shall not cause shock wave of fuel oil in the oil pipe of diesel generator set.

In order to better use the diesel generator set and improve the working efficiency of the generator set, whether the fuel tank is placed reasonably plays an important role. Therefore, we should pay more attention to it in the installation process.
